Shruti Sharma has topped the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services exam 2021 results declared today. All the four top positions on the list have gone to women this year.
Shruti Sharma is followed by Ankita Agarwal, Gamini Singla, and Aishwarya Verma.
Delhi’s Shruti is an alumnus of St Stephens College and Jawaharlal Nehru University and was preparing for UPSC Civil Services exam at Jamia Millia Islamia Residential Coaching Academy.
A total of 685 candidates have been shortlisted for IAS, IPS, IFS, and several other branches of the civil services under the Central Government of India.
The toppers were selected on the basis of their performance in all three rounds – prelims exam, mains exam, and the interview round conducted by UPSC.
The UPSC Civil Services 2021 exams began in October 2021 with the preliminary exam. The Mains exam was conducted in January 2022.

In 2020, a total number of 761 candidates had cleared the UPSC CSE final examination. Shubham Kumar was the topper in the examination, followed by Jagrati Awasthi and Ankita Jain.
