Megan Markel join hands with Netflix to produce animated series on women’s history

Meghan Markel, the Duchess of Sussex, is all set to produce a children’s animated series, which is set to release on Netflix soon.

The series is about a12-year-old girl, who is on the path of self discovery and how she overcomes her struggles and gets inspired by the noteworthy women of yesteryear.

The series will be released under the banner Archewell Productions, owned by  Prince Harry and Megan Markle. ‘Pearl’ will be their maiden show from the production house. 

Megan Markel with David Furnish, Carolyn Soper, Liz Garbus, Dan Cogan and Amanda Rynda will serve as the executive producer for the animated series. 

As per the reports, Megan Casey, Netflix’s Director of Original Animation said that ‘Pearl’ weaves together fantasy and history and focuses on a young girl who learns  to step into her own power when she embarks on heroic adventure and meets important women from history.

“Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges. I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix, and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history. David Furnish and I have been eager to bring this special series to light, and I am delighted we are able to announce it today.”
