Sanjal Gavande, a resident of Kalyan, Maharashtra, is preparing to make her maiden flight to space with millionaire Jeff Bezos.
Gavande will travel in New Shepard, a rocket system by Bezos’s space exploration company ‘Blue Origin.’
Daughter of Ashok, a retired Municipal Corporation officer, and Surekha MTNL employee, the 30-year-old had always cherished the dream to fly to space someday. Sanjal is soon to realize her dream on July 20.
After completing graduation in mechanical engineering from Mumbai, Sanjal acquired a Master’s Degree in Aerospace engineering from the US.
A licensed commercial pilot, Gavande is also one of the systems engineers who helped build New Shepard.
